YAY there is no school tomorrow! I must say that is one of the most exciting parts of this week! Happy Veteran's Day! :) I thought I would give you ladies a little update on how little Mason is doing! He is growing sooooo much and we have only had him a week today! That would make little Mason 8 weeks old now! Ok, so if you have gotten a puppy ever you know that puppies chew on everything. I had forgotten alllll about that aspect of a puppy. Our other two dogs were already adults so, the whole teething thing wasn't a problem. But, OH MY GOSH.....the teething deal is driving me insane.
I came in the door from work today and of course it has been pouring allllll day. He still had to go outside. I take little Mason outside and he does his business. I must say he is good with the whole potty training thing. One point for Mason! Back to the story....I was wearing my favorite pair of Victoria's Secret slippers around the house and Mason grabbed a hold of the little poofy balls on top of the slippers and actually ripped them off! WHAT!?!?!? I was sooooo mad!
(This is what Mason looks like when he is reprimanded!) Almost too cute to resist, I know! So not only did he chew on my shoe. He got my towels that hang from the stove off and decided to start tearing those apart. Really? I didn't need those anyways, I suppose. I am having trouble even walking into the kitchen without him attacking my feet and thinking those are his chew toys. What is a girl to do?!? The hubby thinks this is funny and says "He's just a baby!" But, this little baby can't keep doing this mess....its sorta getting on my nerves!
We have gotten him a zillion chew toys and little bite size bones. Whenever he goes to chew on me or something else, I usually stuff one of those in his mouth. Any other suggestions?!?! Do little puppies grow out of this? How long does it take? HELP! hahaha!I'll keep you updated on the little booger and we'll keep our fingers crossed he doesn't bother me TOO much!
XOXO

SUCH A CUTE PUPPY!
Ha ha, I hope he grows out of it, sounds like he is just being a playful puppy. Have fun with that but besides his mischief he is just plain cute!
He is precious!
He is sooo cute and I am a sucker for a cute puppy face! My puppies used to chew on the baseboards and I would spray a little bitter apple on that. That seemed to work. They also love socks...as in you can't wear socks around them without getting your toes bitten. Mine are 6 months....so I don't know how long it will take to grow out...sorry not much hope but you're not the only frustrated one if that helps! :)
Oh Mason is soo cute! I am in the exact same boat as you! We got Batman, our puppy, 10 days ago and although he quickly got the hint of housetraining, he is chewing everything! LMK if you come up with any tricks!
What a CUTIE!
I feel your pain...when Mia was teething i wanted to strangle her, she chewed and tried to bite on everything. From my experience it is best to reprimand her now and teach her right from wrong so she knows what the deal is. It's sad to put those little puppy eyes in a time out but its necessary if you want any sanity leter....good luck! :)
He is a cutie. Yes lots and lots of chew toys!
mason really can not get any cuter!!
okay, i'll admit it....i want a baby and a puppy ;)
i hope he starts behaving hun! i know pups are a lot of work.
oh what a sweet sweet face!!!
the puppy phase WILL pass....hopefully sooner than later :)
We gave Wrigley his own beach towel that we had that was old. It helped with the teething thing because I would put my hand in the towel and let him chew on it and the towel protected my hand. Then when he was in the stage of actually getting rid of teeth, playing tug of war with the towel would rip several out at a time. He is two now and what do you know? He still has a towel that is basically his baby blanket. He tows it around wherever he goes! Good Luck!
Awww, he is a cutie! I love his name too. Our Winston used to chew my shoes for a while when we first adopted him. We seriously had to hide anything that was leather. He even chewed up my iPod case one time (and damaged the screen of my iPod as well). :-(
Love him anyway. Can't resist the cute face!
mason is absolutely adorable! he'll grow out of his naughtiness! the blue eyes are too cute!
WHAT A CUTIE!!!!!!!!!!!!!
But dogs love shoes.. I don't know why but my friend's dog attacked mine the other day
Style on a String
I think he'll eventually grow out of it. SOOO cute though!
We used Apple Bitters you can get it at petsmart or I think walmart carries it, you spray it on what you do not want him to chew and he will not chew it. We used it with our dog when she STARTED TEARING UP THE CARPETS! The only bad thing is you have to reapply after a few days to make sure he will not go back when the taste fads away.
good luck! Hes such a cute dog!
Our little rescue was supposedly three when we got her. I am thinking more one, but she chewed on everything. It was hard to remember to put up shoes and pretty much everything, because my other dog never chewed on anything. She grew out of it though. I just shake my finger at her and say no. She now fears the finger!
Sorry I am so far behind girl! What a sweetie pie! I'm in love! Hope you have a great weekend! xoxo
Definitely try the bitter apple stuff! When we got my first dog (a Brittany Spaniel, just about 10 years ago), she tried to go after some normal items - shoes, stuffed animals, things along those lines. We sprayed that Bitter Apple and never had a problem. She's an old girl now but looking back, I don't think she's destroyed any property - except for a box of donuts. Who can blame her?
What an adorable puppy...
What a precious little lovey he is!!
